Build a qualification evidence trail, not a loose pile
How to organize degree, recognition, translation, and identity records for German employment-migration preparation.
Qualification evidence is more than a diploma image. A reviewer may need to understand the awarding institution, qualification level, subject, completion date, and the link between that training and the proposed role.
Begin with an index
List every record by its exact title: diploma, transcript, professional licence, recognition statement, and certified translation. Add the language, page count, and the name printed on it. This exposes missing reverse pages and inconsistent romanisation early.
Preserve the original relationship
Keep an original and its translation adjacent in your file order. Do not crop seals, stamps, borders, or page numbers. If your current passport name differs from the academic record, identify the civil document that explains the change.
Check the recognition question
German routes and regulated professions do not all treat qualifications identically. Use the current official databases and authority guidance relevant to your case. A database entry may support preparation, but interpreting an unusual result can require qualified legal or recognition advice.
Match, without rewriting history
Your role description and qualification should be factually clear. Do not alter duties or embellish academic content to make them appear closer. Instead, ask the employer to describe the real job accurately and provide complete education records.
A good evidence trail lets another person follow the facts without guessing which page belongs to which claim.
